Today, while Pete was snoozing from working an early shift, I floated around the city to some of my favorite thrifting and vintage spots so far. I went to a Salvation Army on NE Halsey which was pretty unsuccessful, not to mention how rude some employees were. Then I went off to Rerun on Fremont which is always a fun trip. I grabbed a few things we need for our kitchen, including King Kong cups.. so amazing! On my way back home I passed an interesting looking shop, so I decided to peek in. The shop is called Found on Fremont and it's a collection of absolutely adorable vintage treasurery! I felt like I was walking through Etsy shops, each vendors spot was so delicately decorated. The shop features 2 floors of vintage clothing, decor, crafts, handmade jewelry, some sweet treats for mommas and behbehs, and so much more.
Unfortunately, I only had my phone handy, but thanks to Instagram these little guys don't look so bad. By the way, are we followers on Instagram? My personal account is date_you, follow me! :)
By the time I felt like I had seen everything, I left with a darling ring made of a vintage enamel earring and chatted with the shop owner for a bit. She's from New York! It's always so refreshing to find East Coasters out here. She filled me in on a few festivals and flea markets coming up, so I'm psyched on those guys to come!
I arrived home to a half awake groggy boy still in his work gear, he's begun sporting suspenders regularly since he started working for Union Pacific. He was so nice to help me with m outfit post, so I took a few of him. So here's what we wore today ;)
denim jacket - h&m
name plate necklace - Israel Blessing (there's a funny story behind this which I'll get into later)
dress - buffalo exchange (but from urban)
belt - thrifted
shoes - buffalo exchange (vintage)
Oh hey there handsome ;) Speaking of work gear, we're about to go out for drinks with some of the guys from UP. This should be interesting.. Have a great rest of your weekend!
