Coming to Banana Republic stores mid-month, is a line madly classic an chic! Following her own QVC line, Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant teamed up with Banana Republic for this capsule collection, which apparently was supposed to be launching along side the much anticipated return of the AMC series. I'm sure you all know, that this has sadly been pushed back to next year. Wah! Anyway, this 65 piece line for guys and dolls, has managed to embody a classic look, without feeling too costumy. I seriously love a dapper man in simple white button ups, who looks like he isn't trying too hard, but deep down you know he's working his look. And the ladies get their taste of full skirts, wiggle dresses and the most handsome trousers. I'm in love with this line in so many ways and can't wait for it's arrival!
See what I mean? Hot damn, these are some seriously stunning pieces. And to follow up with the 50's styling to perfection, check out this out. Orla Kiely teamed up with Dolce Films for this fun short for their AW11 line. Once again, a line embodying a capsule from another time, without pulling out the shag carpet. I'm seeing a lot of mod pieces coming this fall, but I think this is my favorite line for so many reasons.
